The Intel World Open is a partnership with the International Olympic Committee to present esport as a potential Olympic event. Unsurprisingly, Rocket League and Street Fighter was chosen as the games to display – two of the most viewer-friendly games in town.
After getting knocked out in the first Open Qualifier for Northern Europe, AW3 breezed through the second Open Qualifier with 5 straight wins to reach the Closed Qualifier. After winning all our matches there, we are now qualified to represent Norway and Northern Europe in the Trial Olympics. The tournament is being played in four regions across the world from July 11th until July 14th. We are playing in the strongest region – EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) – on the 13th hoping to reach top 2 in our group to find ourselves in the play-offs on the 14th.

The fact that we have managed to get a team from scratch to the Trial Olympics in less than 5 months is remarkable and something that caught Gamer.no’s attention.
